Huntsville All Star League Schedule & League Formation The 36 week schedule will be divided into three periods with a position round at the end of each period. Week 12-November 5, 2009 - Week 24-February 19, 2010 - Week 36 May 13, 2010 will be period ending dates, with each winner being paid $600.00 per team. Following the 36th week a Roll Off will take place on May 20, 2010 with the championship roll-off that shall consist of each winner of the periods. A “Wild Card Team” will advance to the championship roll-off. The wild card team will b ethe team with the most season points that did not win one of the periods. In the event that one team wins more than one period, an additional wild card team will advance to the roll-off. This team will be the team with the second most season points that did not win one of the periods. If one team wins all the periods, the three non-winning teams with the most season points will advance to the championship roll-off. In the semi-finals, the teams with the most total points will bowl the tam with the least points and the other winner will bowl the other. The roll-off will be held on May 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm. The team(s) with the most total points for the year will draw to determine which lanes will be used. Total points for the season will determine seed position: seed one vs. seed four and seed two vs. seed three. Winners advance to the championship match. The team with the highest number of Peterson points won will advance to the next round or be declared the league champion. Averages for the roll-off: If a bowler has any pin difference in average from a period win by the team and the final average for the league, the bowler will use the highest average of the two. The league will use a 25 point system. Individual games will be worth I point and individual series will be worth 2 points. Team game will be worth 2 points and team series will be worth 4 points. In the case of a tie for each period champion (based on points) the teams with the most total points for the third will bowl a one game roll-off the night of the schedule period ending to determine the champion. The team with the most roll-off points will be declared the champion. If a tie still exists then handicap pins for the roll-off will decide the champion. A drawing will be held of available pair of lanes to decide starting lanes for the roll-off. Pairs that either team has used that night will not be considered in the drawing. League Fees-Salaries-Funds. It is the team captain’s responsibility to collect all fee’s and turn into the League Secretary by the end of the third frame of the first game. NO TEAM MEMBER WILL BE ALLOWED TO BOWL THAT IS IN ARREARS. The last two weeks of the season must be paid by October 1, 2009. There will be no charging of fees. All checks must be made payable to The All Star League. Any returned check will be charged back to the league account including a $30.00 service fee. It will be the bowler’s responsibility to make the bank charges and the check amount up to the league within one week after returned check is submitted back to AMF Pin Palace. The Leagues Secretary will be paid $1.00 per bowler per night. The League Secretary will not be paid a salary until the end of the schedule and final averages have been turned into the local association. PrizesNo individual awards will be paid in this league. There will be only team prizes. The prize list will be presented by the 5th week of bowling. The prize list will not be altered unless teams resign from the league. All teams will cash. Pay-off will begin at 8:00 pm on May 20, 2010. Entering Averages and Handicaps League membership must have a minimum average of 180 for the 2008-2009 season or summer league 2009. Bowlers who bowled in the All-Star League for the 2008-2009 will us his/her final average with a minimum of 21 games for their first 9 games of the league. Those bowlers who did not participate in the All Star League last season will use his/her high book average for the 2008/2009 seasons for the first 9 games. Or if none of the above apply, a summer league average with a minimum of 21 games for their entering average for the first 9 games. It is the bowler’s responsibility to furnish the League Secretary with such average within one week of bowling if they do not have a Huntsville USBC Association average. This rule also applies to any bowlers wishing to join a team roster anytime during the 36-week season. Handicap percentage shall be 90% of 210 with a maximum handicap of 24. Subs-League Lineup, Tardy Players-Absentee- and Vacancy Scores Postponements All rules not covered above will be in compliance with the current USBC rule book.
