Governor Ivey has lifted the restrictions on entertainment venues, and the bowling centers have announced their plans to re-open. Shindig will open for business on Saturday, 23 May at 10:00 am, and Bowlero will open its doors on Friday, 29 May at 3:00 am.

For those interested in league information, Bowlero will be contacting league officers early next week to discuss their plans for the remainder of the season. Bowlero's operating hours will be as follows:
Monday/Tuesday - closed (except for league bowling)
Wednesday/Thursday - 3-11 pm
Friday - 3-12 (Midnight)
Saturday - 12-12 (Midnight)
Sunday - 12-10 pm

Social distancing will be practiced and only 1 team to a pair of lanes. You will bowl on one lane only during competition whether it’s league or tournament.

Alabama USBC has announced new dates for state Open and Youth tournaments

USBC has postponed the 2020 Open Championships and Women's Championships. The Open Championships at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nevada, will start Sept. 12 and run until Nov. 21 (last team date), while the Women’s Championships at the South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas will kick off Sept. 19 and run through Oct. 18. Bowlero Tuscaloosa has extended their closure to May 31, 2020. The State Open has been postponed and new dates will be announced at a later date.

Bowlero Tuscaloosa has further extended its closure to April 30 in accordance with direction from Gov Kay Ivey.

Bowlero Tuscaloosa has extended their closure until April 17, 2020, in accordance with the most recent guidelines from the City of Tuscaloosa.

The State Open, hosted this year by Tuscaloosa USBC and Bowlero Tuscaloosa, has been postponed. The tournament will now start on May 9-10, which was originally slated to be the third week of the tournament, and continue on May 16-17 and May 23-24. Loretta Stowers, the association manager for the Alabama USBC Association, will be in contact with team captains from the first two weekends regarding the re-scheduled times.

The last two weekends of the State Youth Tournament have not yet been re-scheduled.

USBC has postponed the start of the Open Championships in Reno and the Women's Championships in Las Vegas until May 23, 2020. For additional information on these tournaments, go to bowl.com.
